A Heartfelt Thank You to Warby House: Supporting the Future of Women in STEM

Zonta Wangaratta extends a warm and heartfelt thank you to the incredible students of Warby House at Cathedral College Wangaratta, whose generosity and community spirit truly shine.

Earlier this year, Warby House held a Mother’s Day Breakfast fundraiser, and we were honoured to receive the proceeds from their thoughtful initiative. Our very own Kay and Elizabeth recently visited the school to personally thank the students and acknowledge their inspiring contribution.

The funds raised will go directly towards the creation of a brand-new STEM Award, to be proudly presented by Zonta Wangaratta at the end of 2025. This award will celebrate and support young women pursuing pathways in science, technology, engineering and mathematics — industries where female representation is still growing, and where encouragement and recognition can make a powerful difference.

We are deeply grateful to Warby House for their vision, generosity, and for recognising the importance of empowering young women to become future leaders and changemakers in these critical fields.
