Supporting Our Smallest Locals: Zonta Wangaratta Donates to NHW Maternity Appeal

Zonta Wangaratta is proud to continue our commitment to supporting the health and wellbeing of women and children in our local community, with a recent donation to the Maternity Fundraising Appeal at North East Health Wangaratta (NHW).

Funds were raised through our recent Fashion Parade Fundraiser, a joyful evening celebrating style, connection and community generosity. Thanks to the incredible support of our guests and sponsors, we were able to contribute directly to NHW’s campaign to purchase new Panda Neonatal Infant Resuscitation Units — advanced equipment that plays a vital role in saving the lives of newborns who need urgent support immediately after birth.

These state-of-the-art resuscitation beds are designed to help clinical teams monitor, warm, stabilise and care for infants during those first critical moments of life. The new units will replace ageing cots that have been in service for over a decade, ensuring babies born at NHW have the best possible start.

NHW serves a wide area of North East Victoria, including Wangaratta, Benalla, Mansfield, Myrtleford, Rutherglen, Yarrawonga, Violet Town and beyond. As a local club focused on empowering women and girls through service and advocacy, we’re honoured to contribute to such a vital cause.
