Millicent Scriven awarded Young Woman in Public Affairs 2023 Award

Updated: Apr 13, 2023

Alison Grant (President) was delighted to be able to announce the winner of the Young Woman in Public Affairs 2023 Award (YWPA) at last month's IWD Breakfast. The winner was Millicent Scriven from Benalla.

Millicent presented a depth and diversity of leadership roles, initiative and passion in volunteering not only in her local community, but in NT and overseas.

Millicent and her mother, Linda, were invited to attend this month's meeting, where Joanne Metzger, who headed the judging, awarded this impressive young woman her award and check.

Her successful application along with the other winners from the clubs in D23 has now been sent to the District 23 Governor and the winner from our District will be forwarded to Zonta International. Once approved by the International Board, the winner for D23 will receive a cheque for US$5000. We wish Millicent EVERY success in the final judging!
